My 34th Birthday

This year I can't believe I turned 34 and that 40 is coming faster and faster every year. We recently moved to Parker, Colorado which is about 15 minutes south of Denver. For my birthday I went to Claire's Kindergarten class and volunteered and then that night I went with my girls, Claire and Isabella, to Olive Garden and had the Endless Pasta Bowl, which was not endless because I had no refills. Jeremy was in Utah on business but he got home later that night and brought me red roses. I also got flowers from my parents.

Because Jeremy was out of town on my birthday, we decided to celebrate on Saturday. Jeremy told me that he had something planned so I didn't worry. Jeremy is the best at surprises because he always knows what to get me.

Saturday. Jeremy lets me sleep in and I slept in. I got out of bed at 11:30am. Yes I know you are all jealous. Jeremy tells me to get ready. So I get ready and then we head out to do whatever he has planned. Jeremy and the girls in one car and I was in the other and I follow them. We pull up to Lifetime Fitness (where we work out) and Jeremy tells me that he needs to drop off a form for Claire to take swimming lessons. He is such a good liar. I then say to him that shouldn't we talk about this before he just signs her up. As we are walking towards the pool, which just happens to be right next to the Spa at Lifetime, Jeremy turns and goes into the Spa and I am thinking, "Oh please let this be a birthday surprise for me!" and yes it turns out that my birthday present is a day at the spa. I then proceed to get a facial, massage, pedicure and manicure. It was heaven!

Right before I go in, Jeremy tells me that I need to be home by 5pm. I agree and enjoy my treatments. As I drive home I am thinking about where we are going to go for dinner because I figure that he is taking me to dinner. The Cheesecake Factory, Del Fresco's, Ruth Chris's Steakhouse, or even Applebee's. Yum I can't wait. I turn on to our street and in the driveway is my brand-new 2008 Mazda CX9. Jeremy has totally surprised me because I have been waiting to get the car since we moved here because I was ready to get rid of my mini-minivan Mazda5. I was so excited. I open the garage and honestly I really had to go pee. I drank to much water while having my manicure and pedicure and was just about to burst. I open the door into the house into the garage and there is Jeremy and my good friend Kara Herreth staring back at me with party hats on. All of the sudden a bunch of people yell, "Happy Birthday" and then I really just about pee my pants. I am shocked and then I run to the bathroom before I explode. I come back out and give Jeremy a big hug and kiss. It was wonderful and the best birthday ever. He got me my favorite cake from Costco and even had music from the 80's. There were people there that I barely knew and they even brought me presents. It was a great birthday and I love my husband very very much.
